In this course, you’ll learn to create stunning paintings featuring mandalas and other motifs in a shabby chic and vintage style. Master acrylic techniques like crafting textured, distressed backgrounds, layering details, applying gilding with gold wax and other methods, adaptable for furniture too. By the end, you’ll confidently blend mandalas or other motifs with abstract patterns or textures, gaining a creative mindset to craft timeless, evocative pieces for canvas or furniture.

In this course I am going through teaching different acrylic techniques starting with the background, passing through different layers and ending up with the main character of the painting, the majestic flowers.
You will be able to express your feelings and emotions through colors and generate an impressionist-style floral painting featuring your favorite color palette. The flowers are loosely painted with bright and warm hues like yellow, orange, or pink, against a background of cold colors foliage.

This course is designed to give students a wide variety of art making experiences and allows them to continue to explore various visual art forms and techniques through the elements and principles of art and design. Students will learn skills and techniques associated with a variety of art media. Emphasis is placed on the elements of art, colour, mood, texture and composition.
